HOWDY i finally went to a random scenario meme and here are some prompts i rolled up:
- Friendly games → You've set up the game station or board games for a friendly competition!
- Locked in a closet → For some reason, you're locked up in a closet with someone else. Do you make nice and try to figure your way out or what?
- Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
i'm down for rerolling or spitballing something else if you don't vibe with any of these tho 👌

Howdy!!!
I'm replying from another account, bear with me here for a sec.
What if we combine the prompts for locked in a closet & Fear? because the thought of Leo oscillating between RAPH I CAN SMELL YOUR FEARSTINK and being freaked out slayed me.

( ooc: first off 10/10 thank u for the starter. shoutout to me trying to call my energy level shots and then metaphorically falling down a well lmaooo )
[ This is, truly, a nightmare scenario. Like, a door that Raph can't just break? Since when? Walls are one thing. Doors are made to open.
Being able to do big mystic punches is normally great at a time like this, but a giant magic fist runs way too much risk of doing something like accidentally punching Leo, or breaking one of these weird mystic thingies and getting them cursed. Not optimal.
He's never been a fan of being stuck in confined spaces. Something about this situation is feeling especially not great. But big brothers don't say "lol same I'm a freakout time bomb." They simply don't freak. ]
We ain't! Got! A lotta options! [ Cool things to punctuate with door-hitting.
He gives it one more good punch for good measure, but then sadly stops. ]
I think this door might be Raph-proof.

Can do. [ It is important to him emotionally that his little brothers believe nothing is normally Raph proof in a bad situation. Sure, he wants them being more responsible, doing their own problem-solving for the times when he can't or won't be there, but like.
Ultimately. When they really, really need it. He should be perceived as slightly omnipotent. Except for this time when this dum-dum door won't just break like a regular door so it's pointless-- no.
They are thinking. He's making sure not to catch anything on his spikes, brother included. It's fine. Wait what the heck is his brother even doing. ]
Wh- Leo, put that back! You don't know where it's been! [ ????? ] It could be mystic cursed.
[ He doesn't really know if mystic stuff does curses. That would require learning and researching. ]

[Oh yes, this whole situation is Leo's fault and Donnie will be the first to say so. In fact, he's probably already complained about it enough by now to be annoying.
That and this was supposed to be relaxing, he almost wore his board shorts for this. He's got a good hold on his bo staff, as he just gives Leo a dirty look at his attempts to make this seem better than it is.
Although the whole not standing out thing is kind of nice.]
Leo, this is most certainly not better than Tahiti. Not that you would know. [He does lean in to look at the snowglobe Leo grabbed, giving it a discerning look before turning his attention to the unamused squid-like creature that is most likely the shop owner.] While it's not that cool, you should probably put it down.

Somehow I doubt it. [Now is that to the beach comment or the Raph and Mikey comment, who knows?]
And I really don't think you should be messing with merchandise either, Leo. It's not like we have money. [Well, Donnie does but he's not sure if they'd take regular dollars here.]

[He's just going to give Leo a flat look, even as his brother puts the snow globe down. At least that's one less thing to worry about after all.]
Of course, I do, and another great point I am going to make is we should probably see what's got all these people heading in one direction. Maybe we can just figure out where we are from that.
[It's some kind of plan, at least. Follow the crowd, maybe it'll lead to Leo's beach or maybe it'll lead to them getting home quicker. Either way Donnie wins.]

We can only hope.
[And before leaving the shopkeeper Donnie will mouth a short "sorry" to the guy, as he follows Leonardo. Also listening to the crowd's conversation and raising an eyebrow at the talk of fighting.
Because knowing their luck, they'd somehow end up fighting on what was supposed to be a relaxing event.]

[You know what? Donatello isn't even surprised anymore. Of course he slightly messed up the runes to get to the Battle Nexus, and of course he's now in what he's pretty sure is Usagi's universe without any knowledge of his brothers' whereabouts. God forbid anything be simple, oh no, not for the turtles.
And, of course, he's in a universe without modern technology. Of course. At least his Japanese is good enough to get by.
So Donatello just needs a minute standing in this town center, scowling at the sky at his luck and wondering what higher power his family pissed off so badly, when someone shouts his name. He turns, furrowing the ridge of his brow, to see a green and blue streak coming at him.]
Leo?
[He almost takes back some of his internal seething at luck--and then he notices that this turtle seems awful short to be Leo.
But then the turtle is upon him. Donatello catches him by the shoulders, and--is this a kid? He seems like a kid. Also he looks like he's about to cry?]
H-hey, you okay? [Is this just a turtle person native to this world? Kind of weird if he knows his name, though.]

[Oh jeeze. This poor kid looks like he's about to burst into tears.
Not a native, definitely. A version of Leo? Donatello has seen this before (he specifically doesn't think about when). Other versions of his brothers, all across universes.
It's not even a question of if he will accept this turtle as his brother. The moment it processes that this is some version of Leonardo, Donatello has already decided that they're family. Family sticks together.]
No, this isn't New York. I'm a Donatello, but not yours. [Donatello glances around them at the other animals passing by, some stealing glances. They stick out here. Not as much as they would in New York, but they stick out.]
I found a place to stay. Come with me and I'll explain everything there, alright? [It doesn't take a genius to see that this poor kid is moments from crying, and Donatello assumes that this Leo would be just as uncomfortable crying in public as his own would be.]

Yeah. We're family. [Donatello smiles reassuringly, taking the kid by the shoulder and leading him away. Lucky the place he's found is a little out of town.]
You're in another dimension. I don't know what you were doing before, but it punched a hole through space and you came here. That just happens sometimes.
[Donatello leads him out of town, through the trees towards a small traditional Japanese house up the hill. It's clear that this place has been abandoned for some time; the sliding doors are decrepit, the paper fluttering in the wind, and the floor brown where Donatello recently swept away moss creeping in. But it's clean; Donatello has already seen to that.
Inside, it's also traditionally Japanese with cushions on the floor, short tables, and tatami mat flooring. There's a whiff of incense in the air, leftover from Donatello's observances this morning.]
Please, make yourself at home. It's not much, since I only just got here myself a bit ago, but still. [He's set up a small fire that he hangs pot over to boil water. If this Leo is anything like his, then tea will help calm his nerves.]

You're definitely not dead. Just in another dimension.
[Donatello says it with the easy confidence of someone who's been through this before. As the water boils, he pours it out into cups with tea leaves. There's a proper way to do this that his own Leo would be able to do effortlessly, but Don never really worked up a passion for a proper tea ceremony.]
Drink this. It'll calm your nerves. [He puts the cup on the table before sitting down on one of the cushions with a cup of his own tea.] I know this is probably a lot, especially if you're new to dimension jumping. But believe me, it could be a lot worse. I have a friend in this dimension, if I can just find him, and he knows how to get to people with access to any dimension. So you'll be able to get home, okay?
[Just... no promises on when.]
