As they approach the stadium, it becomes very obvious the crowds are filtering into seats. There is an arena within, the floor made of what looks like scuffed up stone with walls keeping spectators from wandering into it.
There is no ticket taker at all. Leo slows to a stop to look at Donnie.]
[Just judging by the overheard conversations, it's easy to tell why people are excited, even if Donnie isn't quite as excited. At least not yet.
The stadium is certainly something, and hey if it doesn't cost anything what can it hurt to watch? He's slowed his pace as well and just gives Leo a look.]
Well, it's not like we have anything else to do. [Aside from waiting and hoping Raph and Mikey show up, why not do something that isn't boring?]
It's a great time killer! At least until we can get our bearings, or y'know Raph shows up in a panic. His fear stink must be out of control at this point. [Leo says this casually as he starts walking backwards, folding his arms behind his head.
He only manages to turn back around and not fall over by pure luck.]
Man, the seats are... really far back actually, kinda weird. [He picks a random row at best, content to lead the way.]
Samesies, sure if we're in actual peril we'll miss the stink maybe. But honestly, a relief right now. [Leo predictably flops into his own seat, kicking his legs out to rest his feet on the headrest of the seat ahead of them. The person seated in front of them shoots Leo a look but the teenager is unbothered by it.]

[His voice is overpowered by the crowd cheering. Leo huffs a little as he shifts to peer down. People are shuffling into the arena, waving at the crowd. The people group together loosely, talking amongst themselves in the area.
A masked man with long white hair in very traditional Japanese garb takes his place on a platform overlooking the area. He claps his hands together, voice carrying over the crowd. The man moves to sit down on a throne on the platform, two women in equally traditional Japanese garb settling down behind him. Armored guards begin to trail out as well to stand behind the man.]
"Warriors who seek to become Battle Nexus Champions, prepare yourselves! Soon, you shall face fierce competition!" [The man raises his staff, banging a gong. The crowd goes eve wilder than before as contestants begin breaking off into groups.
The man raises his staff, blasting magic down at the stadium. Dividers rise up to break everyone off into groups.]
...Oh. [Leo manages to mumble, though it is nearly lost in the sound of the crowd.]
[Oh sure, he'd miss the stink if they were in real trouble but he's not going to just outright agree with Leo. Just on principle.
As the crowd cheers and the competitors file in, Donnie leans forward in his seat a little to try to suss out just what this is. And then the host(? he assumes it's the host) says Battle Nexus and the look that crosses Donatello's face is a mix of shock and worry, before settling into his usual flat deadpan look. He doesn't hear Leo's "oh" but looking at his brother he can pretty much guess at what his fellow turtle is feeling.]
Great, the Battle Nexus. Just what we need. [Now if he can be heard over the crowd is one thing, but he is saying this at Leo so maybe less likely to be drowned out.]
[Leo's stance shifts entirely, he brings his legs back down, moving to lean close to Donnie to hear him.]
We can just never have a normal time. [He pinches the bridge of his snout. The crowd is still cheering wildly as the battles begin. Leo's attention shifts fully back to his twin.]
How much we wanna bet Raph and Mikey are in some holding cell in there? [He points at the building the host is seated in front of on the raised platform.]
Also, it's surprising that Big Mama isn't here. [Leo can be offended for everyone, Donnie's more worried about the whole "possibly got our brothers held captive" angle.
He's going to get up without any more prompting from his brother.] With this crowd it shouldn't be too hard to sneak in.
Honestly, knowing her, she might be waiting to make some big entrance. That might be why Raph and Mikey aren't out here yet. [Leonardo offers as he starts forward to try and get out of the rows of seats. His mind is already building worse and worse scenarios.
Leo winces a little at how much jostling they are getting as they move down the seat aisle. Apparently it filled up pretty quickly after they sat down.
If he's not fond of this level of contact, Leo can only guess Donnie is even less thrilled.
His impatience wins out as he draws his blade. The person in the seat Leo stopped at startles and yelps. Leo ignores the guy to wave his odachi in the air and make a portal manifest. He says something to Donnie, but its lost in the din of the crowd before Leonardo leaps through.]
[Anything Donne has to say is also lost to the sound of the crowd. Which yeah, he is not happy with this situation, with too many strangers touching him for his liking.
But he'll do his best to not let it show, finding their brothers is more important than his comfort anyway!
